Weekly Web 2.0 : Remember The Milk

RTMIts time for my weekly review of a web 2.0 service. Today we’re looking at Remember the Milk; an online to do list.

I discovered this service originally through Jott. (Which I’ve written about here). In a nutshell what Remember the Milk (RTM) does is allow you to maintain an online task list of what you need to accomplish over any time period, from today to infinity. You can also set priorities so you know what needs to be done first.

One of the coolest features is the ability to set tags on your tasks. That way you can look at everything you need to do on a given subject.

RTM integrates very well with a variety of other sites. You can locate your tasks on a google map, reminders can be sent to your email, your IM, Skype or mobile phone. What is really cool for me is that ability to use Jott to send a new item to my list.

One thing that I would really like to see, is stronger integration with my Leopard mail todo list. This has become my de facto todo list since I installed Leopard. I love the way it automatically syncs with iCal which is also my calender of choice. If I could only have the same level of cooperation with RTM I would be in todo list heaven.

I don’t know how much hardcore GTDers would like this service, it doesn’t seem to really fit with that philosophy. I however have enjoyed using it and hope to see many improvements to it.
