That is most often where I think of things that need to get done. I have been using http://simplenoteapp.com/ with http://selfcoded.com/justnotes/

I found that Things had too many bells and whistles and actually went against GTD principles.

I find that using the above listed things allows me a simple note taking/to do system that syncs seamlessly with my Mac, iTouch and with an Online System (something that Things does not offer).

Its super simple with bo bells or whistles but I have used this longer than any other system.
